 English is great as the go-to everyday language. It's the first language you should learn due to its status as the international language. It will generally allow you to communicate with people from all over the world. Learning English helps you pick up other languages faster. For example, most languages have primary translations in English. The same applies to subtitles for media and other resources.

 German is great as a structural language for objective information. Learning German gives you access to people in several prime European countries, including (but not limited to) Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Fun fact: many people don't know that English is a Germanic language.

 Russian is one of the biggest languages in the world and gives you access to people in Russia, many Central Asian countries, and East European countries. The Russian language is connected to a very rich art and culture, including fairy tales, contemporary songs, and artworks. If learned properly, Russian is one of the finest melodic languages.

  Spanish is the second most spoken language by native speakers in the world. You will have access to almost all of South America, and many North American people speak Spanish as their first or second language. You will also have access to people in Spain. Spanish is a very fun language to learn. It is easy, smooth, and can be spoken in a very relaxed way.

 When you are learning Spanish or have learned some of it, it makes sense to learn Italian as well since they are both Romance languages and very similar to each other. Apart from that, Italian is a very poetic language that will charm any language learner.

 Even though French has the same origin as Spanish and Italian, it is quite different in tone. However, it is an extremely elegant language with a very rich history in art. There are a lot of people outside of France who speak French. For example, in Belgium, Canada, and many African countries.

 The most spoken language in the world by native speakers is Mandarin Chinese. Since it is a type of Chinese language, it is simply called Chinese as well. It is one of the most challenging languages to learn in its written form. However, not only do a huge number of people speak Chinese, but you will also have access to a very rich culture including art, philosophy, and food.

 Vietnamese stands out as an East Asian language due to its thriving modern culture with impressive simplicity and authentic energy. Vietnamese food has gained significant popularity all around the world. Vietnam also has very beautiful rural areas.

 The Bengal region, despite being a very small part of the world, has one of the highest numbers of speakers in the world due to Bangladesh and West Bengal being among the world's most densely populated areas, and a significant number of people living or working abroad. Bengali is an extremely rich language when it comes to literature, poetry, and so on.

 Learning Hindi doesn't only grant you access to the huge population of India, but also many people in the subcontinent speak Hindi. It is a fairly simple language to learn and has similarities with Urdu and Bengali since all are related to the old Sanskrit language.

 Arabic is one of the biggest and most influential languages in the world, spoken by people from many different countries. It also has a very long tradition in poetry. Its linguistic depth and mathematical precision is admired by linguists worldwide.

 Urdu is primarily spoken by people in Pakistan. It is very similar to Hindi, however, it is written in Arabic letters fused with some of its own letters, making it a very dynamic and interesting language to learn. It is also admired for its poetry tradition.

 American Sign Language is the primary sign language used in the United States and Canada. It is solely expressive, based on body language, and helps you communicate with people with hearing disabilities. It is also generally a great skill to have.
